Charge Bikes - Set2 Rise - Sam's win
Charge team rider Sam Humphrey retained his crown at the Charge Bikes Set 2 Rise 12 hour mountain bike race by taking the win in the tough solo category for the second year running. Sam came in 1 lap ahead of his closest rival Trevor Allen of USE/Exposure. Here's what Sam had to say about his win "I'm so glad to have won for the second year in a row. Set 2 Rise is a really important race for me as it’s a big event for my sponsors so I'm happy to have done them proud. It doesn't get any easier the second year running! The kit all worked great, didn’t have to use the spare bike. The course was even better this year, personally more climbing would have suited me but the single-track was amazing and something not generally associated with Salisbury Plain so it was real eye opener to be able to ride such great trails." Congratulations also to the Apple Strudel team from Mulebar who took top honours in the men's team event, progressionfitness.co.uk who won the Men's pairs and the mixed team, Meggie Bichard winner of Solo female, Southfork MTB winners of the mixed pairs and Tavis Walker who won the Singlespeed event with an astounding 15 laps. The Charge mixed team of Nick, Abi, Ted and Cunny came home in third position. All the winners were rewarded with great prizes from Charge Bikes, Muc-Off, SRAM, Crank Bros, Met, Nite-Flux and Mulebar.
